Michael Stecher

Michael delivers his senior thesis presentation.

Michael Stecher is not your average Georgetown student.

Stecher is a senior in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics with an emphasis on International Security. He hails from New York City, where he plans to return after graduation and work in investment banking for Goldman Sachs, a career passion he discovered after working in the field this past summer. Michael had always had an interest in Jewish Civilization, and after taking two Hebrew classes, he became aware of the PJC and immediately signed up. He has since taken “Modern Jewish Civilization” with Professor Yossi Shain, “Anti-Semitism and Anti-Americanism” with Professor Schroeder, and a few other courses. Regardless of any benefits it may provide professionally, Michael believes that the PJC offers an important opportunity to learn about himself. Outside of the PJC, Michael is actively involved in the Georgetown community. He is the director of the Georgetown Improv Player Group and a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. He also loves baseball and is an avid Yankees fan.
